It’s dilli (Delhi) meri jaan! Super males, super girls, rocking Punjabi Gabrus and cool Punjabi kudiyan…masti…wide roads, lots of greenery…super cool man, you name it and we have it. Saddi Dilli…Super Changa!!!
Oh…oh…, most of the guys and gals of other cities may not agree with my views. But yaar, my blog is on a different thing…yeah! It’s about Dilli ki garmi (Loo, heat & all that stuff). This year, weather has been nice to Delhi. The weather was O.K. in April & May. It rained in April & May that’s really unusual for Delhi. The sun was less harsh on us…it allowed us to move in the sun without rubbing much sun protection creams. June too began its garam Delhi marathon coolly, but in the middle, it picked up speed, so there was scorching heat all around. Electricity cuts, pani problems, short tempers, bakwas of netas and cries of babies all got mixed up. But thank God, now the weather is fine. I am enjoying it thoroughly. Whenever I am at home and if it’s raining, I strum my Spanish guitar and sing all romantic songs, “Rim Jhim gere sawan…,” one of my sulekha friends had said that this is the best song for rainy season. So, whenever I get the chance, I sing this song.
Oh dear! I have missed the bus. I still haven’t told you the real kahani. How should I begin? Well…God has been kind to Delhi. An unusual thing happened may be due to global warming. There has been no naked dance of Loo in Delhi so far. It's missing. I think it might have got stuck up in the traffic of Jaipur in Rajasthan. So it has been absolute fun since April. Loo-less fun without too much sun. Kitti-parties, roadside jam, Pub masti, jhatkas, matkas, Tankha Bhidaying and of course rain dance. People are enjoying this summer to the summit. Earlier in June, men used to avoid their wives…sorry man, I will not tell you where and when? Joke yaar, 100% joke. Come one man, even my abba, papa, baba, appa, father, uncle and tau can’t stop a hungry beast from jumping on its prey? Got the point.
Now I am serious. There used to be a time when people used to avoid coming to Delhi in May and June especially the tourists. But now, maybe from next year, people can come to Delhi during this period. God willing, I hope this magic will continue forever. Now let me invite you to Delhi. We have lot of things in Delhi which you can come and see. Come and watch the magnificent Red Fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Birla Mandir, Akshardham Mandir and what else. Friends, I am not a tourist guide… but if you are in Delhi, you can get information on all historical monuments and other sights from our very own “Dost tourist Guide”…thanks to honorable Renukaji… Do you still remember that cool ad, “Athithi Devo Bhava”!!!
What else should I write I don’t have more inputs on this topic… visit Delhi…lassi piyo aur khoob masti karo. Allow me to croon this song for you girls…
